Activate Whittier Honored with the AHA NOVA Award


The American Hospital Association (AHA) honored Activate Whittier, one of only five, with the AHA NOVA Award during the July 24, 2015 Health Forum & AHA Leadership Summit in San Francisco. The fellow awardees were Mayor's Healthy City Initiative (Healthy BR) in Baton Rouge, LA; Bithlo Transformation Effort in Orlando, FL; Community Health: Healthy Eating in Albuquerque, NM; and Blood Pressure Advocate Program in Rochester, NY.

Established in 1993, the award recognizes hospitals and health systems for their collaborative efforts toward improving community health. The AHA is a not-for-profit association of health care provider organizations and individuals that are committed to the health improvement of their communities.
