Hollywood High School Gets a “Taste of Tomorrow”

Hollywood High School continues to reinvent itself as an increasingly healthy place for students to learn, grow and succeed. On October 14, restaurateurs, chefs, civic leaders, businesses, teachers and students joined forces for"A Taste of Tomorrow," a culinary, career and mentorship fair. Workshops were offered on topics such as "Resume and Cover Letter Building," "Following your Performing Arts Dreams"(with Vivek Tiwart, Broadway Producer and Author) and "How to Cook for Family and Friends," with world renowned chefs Jet Tila, Ben Ford, Hugo Matheson. Afterwards students participated in a job fair of over 100 fresh and high quality local eateries, several of which were hiring on the spot! The event ended with a food fair and Dedication Ceremony for HHS' new Learning Garden and mural which will offer an outdoor classroom for educating and empowering students to continue to live healthy lives.
